No. I have taken many individuals out, just me and them.

I don’t have a limit. The largest group, so far that I have had at Hocking is 18 riders. Back in Pennsylvania when I was a trail boss for my club, I took out as many as 80 riders at one time.

That’s totally up to you. When you reserve me for the day, you get just that, my entire day. I have had riders request afternoon or evening rides.

Because I have to do morning chores, groom my horse, load and trailer to you, the earliest ride out time that I can provide is 9:30 am.

I require a deposit to secure my service for the day. Once I get the deposit, your name goes in my book. We can work out the ride details closer to the actual ride. The day of the ride, I have a per hour rate. It is per hour, not per rider. This rate changes year to year, so contact me for the most updated information.

No, I do not rent horses. However, there are several riding stables in the area that do. My service is only for those who bring their own personal horses to Hocking.

No, I cannot.

Yes, I can do that. You just need to let me know what those needs are, because each camp here had different accommodations.

I try to build in a rain date with your ride. This way we can move your ride to the next day if needed. I do ride in the rain. I don’t do thunder, lighting or high winds. However, this is your vacation and it’s up to you to make the call.

Your deposit is non-refundable, because I have set the entire day aside to guide you. The exception would be if you can find someone else to fill those dates. If that happens, I would be happy to refund your deposit, minus my PayPal fee.

Yes, I have tee shirts, long sleeve tees, and tanks. A local print shop in Logan makes them for me. You can order them in advance of your ride, and I can have them for you at your ride. Or, you can order them and have them shipped to your house. I do often have some on hand, but sizes and colors might be limited.

For the deposit, a personal check or PayPal. The day of the ride, cash.

It is always appreciated, especially if you have a group. The amount is up to you. Some people collect a per person fee as the tip, others do a percentage. My tips have varied from $20 per day, for multiple days, to several hundred dollars. Once I even got cash and steaks. Another time I got a bottle of wine. Whatever makes you happy.
